Tuesday, Microsoft has also contributed to the Insiders on this month’s Patch. They released KB5015818 for the Windows 11 22H2 operating system on the Release Preview channel, which will be launched later this year.

You must be running Windows 11 and subscribed to the Release Preview channel (Windows 11 insider program) to install this update. If you have Windows updates enabled, you will receive an automatic “New features are ready to install” prompt. (Microsoft Update)

Users have noted that the update becomes stuck at 7 per cent and does not proceed in some situations.

Please keep in mind that anyone who has previously installed the beta update is on 22621.290. 

This is a release preview channel update.

Windows Update taking forever?

If you are having issues with the update, you can try resetting the Windows Update settings or running the DISM and SFC checks to repair any corrupted system files before attempting to install the update again.
